The Mike Minter Workforce Development Program
Providing area employers with a workforce already trained in the skill sets needed to do the job right!
The Mike Minter WDP was designed to impact communities throughout North and South Carolina by offering high-demand work ready training programs. Through a partnership with APSI, this former Carolina Panther of the National Football League has lent his efforts to people in his local community of the Carolinas. As a result, the Mike Minter Workforce Development Program made its mark through the American Recovery and reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA). In addition, the Mike Minter WDP has been quite successful in training and certifying students interested in new technology and has been recognized as a forward thinking organization who is focused on getting the community re-trained and back to work.
Furthermore, the Mike Minter WDP has partnered with academic institutions, Workforce Development Boards and community leaders to deliver “work ready” training as part of a certificate program. Each Mike Minter WDP Course includes certification in a high-demand industry and includes non-degree continued education credits and globally recognized credentials. This means that the Mike Minter WDP graduates can be provided to you trained, credentialed, confident and ready to go to work. The Mike Minter WDP Team is looking for organizations to partner with so that each graduate has the ability to seek employment with great employers around the region. Most importantly the services you will receive through the Mike Minter WDP can be at “NO COST” for those who qualify for Workforce Investment Act (WIA) funding.
